Our Services

Practical help, from the first conversation onward

Every service below is free. We meet you wherever you are in the process and stay until the next step is done.

What we do

Six ways we stand beside you

Records & Expungement

Understand exactly what is on your record, what Florida allows you to seal or expunge, and what the process asks of you.

  • Record review and eligibility walkthrough
  • Help completing FDLE and clerk applications
  • Referral to legal aid or an attorney when your situation needs one

Court Navigation & Paperwork

Knowing where to be, what to file and what happens next removes a large part of the fear.

  • Reading notices, orders and deadlines with you
  • Preparing for hearings and meetings
  • Attendance and accompaniment where permitted

Reentry, Housing & Basic Needs

The first weeks after release set the tone for everything after. The practical pieces come first.

  • ID, birth certificate and document recovery
  • Housing and shelter referrals
  • Referrals for food, clothing and transportation

Employment, Wages & Benefits

Steady work is the fastest route to stability, and most of the barriers to it can be worked around.

  • Resumes, applications and interview preparation
  • Introductions to employers and training programs that hire people with records
  • Benefits, wage claims and unemployment navigation

Family & Children

Keeping families connected during a case, and holding them together after it.

  • Visitation, phone and mail guidance
  • Custody and child support navigation
  • Support for children, caregivers and kinship families

Advocacy & Accountability

When the system gets it wrong, someone has to say so in writing and follow it up.

  • Documenting mistreatment, neglect or delays
  • Formal complaints to the right agency
  • Community education and public reporting

Being straight with you

What we can do

  • Explain documents, deadlines and processes in plain language.
  • Help you complete and submit your own applications and filings.
  • Connect you to attorneys, agencies and community partners.
  • Advocate with an agency on your behalf, with your written permission.
  • Document what happened and press for answers.

What we cannot do

  • We are not a law firm and we do not give legal advice.
  • We do not represent you in court or take on criminal defence.
  • We cannot promise an outcome — eligibility and decisions belong to courts and agencies.
  • We never charge for help, and we never ask for payment to move a case forward.

If your situation needs a licensed attorney, we will tell you directly and help you find one.
